Scenario: Elementary school gym class - playing 'mat-ball'. (kick ball inside, using mats as bases and a foam ball)
Sophie is up at the 'mat'.
She aims her kick one way and the ball goes in another direction. Without looking, she runs hard to 1st 'mat'.
Behind her, she hears the gym teacher yell, "WAIT A MINUTE!"
Sophie froze in place.
The gym teacher says, "This hasn't happened in 2 years! The ball went into the basketball hoop! Sophie, you just earned your class a pizza party lunch tomorrow!"
Shouting, screaming and jumping all over Sophie ensues!
She was a very proud little girl when I picked her up yesterday.
This morning, her name will be announced on the morning bulletin as the one who earned her class a pizza party!
The sun finally came out today in honor my parents returning to the States (Welcome home, Mom & Dad!), for the lunchtime pizza party, and especially for the weekend school fair happening this weekend!
