It's our Temple's 150th anniversary and the big celebration is happening this weekend!
We're having a 'retro' service tonight with our past Rabbi & Cantor (the one who led us in our youth group reunion back in March!) are leading the service that is at the old start time of 8pm tonight! It should be great and my parents are joining us for this lovely evening, as this was the clergy when we joined this Congregation back in 1973!
If they're smart, my parents will be saying whatever prayers are appropriate for grandchildren to behave themselves, as they will have Moe, Curly & LarryMaisie, Noa & Sophie for a sleepover Saturday night! I've spoken to all 3 and they are well aware that this could be the last sleepover if they all don't behave!
I'm heading down to NYC bright and early to pick up Maisie & Noa, so I'll get some time to hear about what's going on in their lives, as it's been awhile since I've had some time alone with them.
When we arrive at my parents house, I'm meeting Linda there. She is doing an 11 mile run in her continuing preparation for her 1/2 marathon that is happening next month. I may place myself strategically along her route with some cold beverages and sports beans, while reading the NY Times and having my coffee!
Then home to prepare the stuffed mushrooms that we're bringing to the 60th birthday party of a friend happening at 4pm.
Sunday morning, I'm picking up the cousins to take them to Sunday school (M & N are thrilled to be checking out Sophie's religious school and it's a good day for them to go, as it's the last session for the school year!). We'll have a few hours to chill out and read newspapers.
We pick them up at noon and then get ready to go to our end of season bowling picnic for an hour or so and then meet my parents at out house at 2:30, where they will take the NYC cousins back with them. Linda & I are attending the re-dedication ceremony at our Temple later in the afternoon (while we have Sophie's cousin Kim stay with her) where Eric Yoffie will be speaking. It should be quite the event.
Sunday night, we'll collapse!
My ex is away for business til the end of the week, so we have Sophie all week with us. YAY!

Goodness gracious, WOW!
So let us know how the cousin's sleepover went,
and maybe you could post pics of your parents with them???
That is if they can still walk & talk after all that!
