Groggy mornings are behind and ahead of me... These late night basketball games are rough.
Linda & I stayed up Saturday night to watch some men's games and then were up early Sunday morning to drive to the Sweet 16 game starring our own UCONN women which was being held in Trenton, NJ at noon. (thanks for letting us know about the tix, JR!)
They worried us a little at the beginning of the game, but then snapped into their UCONN basketball ways! They ended up winning much to the joy of the many Husky fans who were there cheering them on! UC Berkeley put up a good fight, but then just couldn't keep up.
We stayed for about a half hour of the Texas A&M vs Arizona State game, figuring that Texas, being the higher seed, would win.
We made it back to Connecticut in time for bowling at 6, where we found out that Arizona had won! We'll see how they match up against UCONN.
Tonight we're watching Maryland vs Louisville... figuring that Maryland would win handily, but so far, Louisville is running all over them.
The later game has Stanford playing Iowa State. Stanford should win, but these days, nothing is a sure thing.
'cept. hopefully, UCONN. Cuz we have Maya. And nobody else does.
