With holidays in the middle of the week both last week and this week, it's throwing me SO off so badly so I have no idea what day it is...
Sophie is off this whole week, so my ex & I are trying to coordinate covering all the days. Sophie is with her on New Year's Eve and Day this year. I am covering yesterday and today and fortunately she had a playdate yesterday afternoon that went so well (with Kayla) that they invited her back for today.
bless these people who have 3 of their own and wanted another one under their roof!
Our home is in need of some straightening up and cleaning, as we were too busy having fun over the past weekend to do such mundane and responsible things like that!
Linda is pretty sore though, as she had a 3 hour snowboarding lesson on Sunday with a friend of ours, up at Mt Southington, CT. I'm not exaggerating when I say that she has a pretty good sized bruise on her tailbone, poor thing. But she loved it!
There is more snow in the forecaset for tonight: 1-3 inches by morning. Then another storm coming in on Friday night with another 5-8 inches. We'll see if either of these predictions become a reality.
New Years' Eve plans involve dinner with friends early in the evening and then heading over to another friend's home to welcome in the new year. Travel will be within 10 miles of our home, as I prefer to stay off the highways on this particular holiday.
Here's to a short work day tomorrow, a safe and fun send off to 2008 and lots of hope, joy and peace in 2009!
Certainly along with all the uplifting and happy thoughts, my thoughts and prayers are with Israel at this very unsettling time. I'm thankful at this time, that my family over there remains safe.

I'm so glad that your family is safe. I ignored the news over the long weekend, so I was shocked to hear about the developments yesterday. I hope the fighting ends soon.

kathleen... thanks. It's hard to ignore - but we have to keep the faith that peace WILL come someday.

For a number of reasons this shortened week feels v-e-r-y long. I hope the trend bucks on the shortened day tomorrow.
YaY! for playdates.
Cheers to nice, relatively quiet and s-a-f-e NYE celebrations.
Peace. ~seriously- For All.

Don't you just hate how cleaning the house interferes with having fun?
Thought of your family in Israel as I read/watched what's going on over there. Hope they continue to stay safe.
Enjoy your celebrations tonight, stay warm and safe!
