Sunday recap

Another blur of a weekend...

Sophie's 7th birthday party went off without a hitch (aside from them putting Sophia on the cake instead of Sophie!).  It was held at a local chocolate shop - need I say more?!  The kids got to dip their choice of marshmallows, graham crackers, rice crispies treats, oreo cookies, strawberries or pretzels into a milk chocolate fondue fountain throughout the party!  They got to play candy bingo (where when you got a Bingo, you yelled out "Sophie"!) and after getting a group pic taken, got frames to decorate with frosting and more candy.  They also got to make necklaces & bracelets that they filled with colored sugar!  It was a hit for the birthday girl AND her 12 closest friends!  Here she is listening to everyone sing Happy Birthday!

Misc_and_sophie_7th_bday_party_004 Today, Linda & I went for a bike ride that should have been about 12 miles, but due to bad directions, turned into about 15.  It was awesome weather and the route was along the water in Stratford.  Great scenery all around us.  Here are some pics:

As if the bike ride wasn't enough exercise, Linda said I should try doing my running training outside.  So about 4:30, we headed outside to run in our neighborhood and let me just tell you... it was BRUTAL!  I was dying!  I think I need more training indoors before I venture outside anytime soon!  I need to build up my endurance.  But it felt good to have done it! 

We even squeezed going through some stuff for the move, which was good.

We finished up the weekend, by going to see "Ocean's 13" with my parents.  It was ok.  Glad I only paid $4 to see it!

Hi Val,
Wonderful pics and so glad that all went well.Sophie is blessed to have such great moms that work so hard to surround her in happiness!! That water sure looks inviting after the weekend that I had!!
